    Host a Summer Send-Off!

    Are you interested in spreading Eagle Pride and welcoming our new students and their families into the Eagle Nation?  Host a Send-Off in your area this summer!

    A Send-Off is an informal gathering that allows incoming students and their families to meet, mingle, and learn more about Georgia Southern life from current students, parents, and alumni.  Summer Send-Offs allow students to begin the transition from high school to Georgia Southern by giving them a chance to ask questions, share concerns, and meet new friends from their hometown.  It also allows our parents to build a support system that extends beyond Statesboro.

    Hosting a Send-Off is fun and EASY!  We will provide you with a manual detailing how to host the event, complete with handouts to give to parents and students.  We will also handle all invitations, inviting the students and families in your area.  And probably the best part, the Parent & Family Association will help with costs associated with the event (up to $200).  The rest we leave up to you to be creative and innovative with your ideas!  Keep it simple!  As long as you bring that welcoming Georgia Southern spirit, we know the event is sure to be a success!
